Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 Anime Premieres on July 19

The official website and accounts for the Kaiju No. 8 anime today announced that the much-anticipated second season will begin airing on July 19 at 23:30 JST . A new key visual was also unveiled, featuring a supercharged Defense Force. Naoya Matsumoto pens the original manga. Crunchyroll currently streams the first season in a range of subs and dubs, and describes the story: In a world plagued by creatures known as Kaiju, Kafka Hibino aspired to enlist in The Defense Force. He makes a promise to enlist with his childhood friend, Mina Ashiro. Soon, life takes them in separate ways. While employed cleaning up after Kaiju battles, Kafka meets Reno Ichikawa.
