Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning- Returns to Japanese Theaters on June 20

The official website for the Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX TV anime series announced today that Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning- , the re-edited episode version of the TV anime, will re-release in 368 theaters across Japan on June 20, 2025. Prior to the TV anime's premiere on April 8, advance theatrical screenings of -Beginning- began in 426 theaters (including 52 IMAX ones) across Japan on January 17, 2025, and earned 598,832,300 yen (4.16 million USD) on 352,522 admissions in its first three days between Friday and Sunday, making a first place debut in the weekend box office ranking. The screenings stayed in the box office top 10 for seven consecutive weekends and earned 3,296,499,200 yen (22.89 million USD) on 2,000,380 admissions in 66 days since its release, becoming the third top-grossing theatrical screenings of Japanese anime in 2025 so far, behind Detective Conan: One-eyed Flashback and Doraemon: Nobita's Art World Tales . Theatergoers from June 20 will receive a 24-page booklet "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning-DESIGN WORKS 3" as the ninth bonus item. The illustrations on the front and back covers are newly drawn by character designer Take.
