The official X (formerly Twitter) for Keigo Shinzo's Hirayasumi slice-of-life manga announced today that the manga will receive an anime and live-action TV drama adaptations . The manga author, with a congratulatory illustration, said, "I'm very happy about the anime and drama adaptations!! I'm looking forward to seeing the finished works!!" Congratulatory illustration by Keigo Shinzo The anime adaptation will be produced by Production +h., which previously worked on The Orbital Children (2022) and DEAD DEAD DEMONS DEDEDEDE DESTRUCTION (2024). A release date, cast nor staff were announced at the time of reporting. Meanwhile, the live-action TV drama adaptation is scheduled to air every Monday through Thursday night from 10:45 to 11:00 p.m. on NHK General TV's "Yoru Dora" drama slot in fall 2025, according to NHK's official website . Shinzo Keigo's original Hirayasumi manga is serialized in Shogakukan's Big Comic Spirits magazine since April 2021, with its latest ninth volume releasing in Japan on July 30. The manga was nominated for the 2023 Osamu Tezuka Cultural Prize's Manga Grand Prize, and in 2024 won the Best Serialized Comic Award at the Lucca Comics & Games, the largest pop culture festival in Europe, held in Italy. The series has also printed over 1.1 million copies worldwide so far. VIZ Media also announced in a press release that the anime will be a co-production between the company and Shogakukan-Shueisha Productions Co., Ltd.
