Babanba Banban Vampire was originally slated for a release in Japan on February 14, 2025, but had been postponed due to an incident involving lead actor Ryo Yoshizawa . Its cumulative total gross has exceeded 4.4 billion yen (30 million USD) on 3.19 million admissions, making it the highest-grossing Japanese live-action film of 2025 so far. After dissappered from the top 10 last weekend, Uta no Prince-sama The Movie: TABOO NIGHT XXXX , the latest third concert film in the Uta no Prince-sama anime franchise, resurfaced in tenth place in its ninth weekend. From July 4, the film's Dolby Cinema version started screening in 10 theaters nationwide and a postcard using the main visual has been newly given to the theatergoers as as a bonus. Both of last weekends' two newcomers, Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid: A lonely dragon wants to be loved and Lupin the IIIrd the Movie: Fujimi no Ketsuzoku , disappeared from the top 10 in their second weekend. Virgin Punk: Clockwork Girl , the first part of the original Virgin Punk anime project created by character designer and director Yasuomi Umetsu and animation studio Shaft, kept a first-place in Kogyo Tsushinsha's mini-theater ranking for two consecutive weekends since its release on June 27. KING OF PRISM: Your Endless Call -Minna Kirameke! Prism☆Tours- , a new feature film from the male idol-themed KING OF PRISM franchise, still didn't appear in the overall top 10 ranking but its cumulative total gross had surpassed 200 million yen (1.38 million USD) according to the franchise's official X (formerly Twitter) .
