Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentosho Anime Reveals New Theme Song Artists, Visual and More Cast

The Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentosho anime kicks off the Bakumatsu arc with episode 14, and with that comes new characters, theme songs and a fresh visual. The new themes include [Alexandros] on opening song “Ash,” while FAKE TYPE will close episodes out with ending song “Enrin.” New cast members include Toshihiko Seki (Mousse in Ranma 1/2 ) as Yasuhide Hatakeyama, Kenichiro Matsuda (Batou in Ghost in the Shell: Arise ) as Tsuchiura and Kazuya Nakai (Ryuji Suguro in Blue Exorcist ) as Kiichi Okada, pictured respectively below. Kazuya Aiura directs the TV anime at Yokohama Animation Laboratory. Deko Akao provides the series composition and Taro Ikegami provides the character designs. Jinta, a wandering orphan who, along with his younger sister Suzune, drifted into the village and grew up to become the shrine maiden’s guardian, ventures into the forest to defeat a mysterious demon who speaks to him of the far future and the threat of a Demon God. So begins this epic supernatural historical fantasy series that follows a demon hunter through his century-spanning journey from the Edo to Heisei periods—all-the-while questioning his wielding of a sword.
