 Rock Band ELLEGARDEN Performs ONE PIECE Anime New Opening Song
The official website for the ONE PIECE franchise announced today that the four-member Japanese rock band ELLEGARDEN performs the TV anime's new opening theme song "Carmine." It will be the TV anime's 28th opening theme following the current 27th song, "Tenshi to Akuma" performed by GRe4N BOYZ . "Carmine" will be feature from the anime's next Episode 1139 airing in Japan on August 10, and will also be released digitally on the same day at 23:45 (JST), right after the episode ended airing in Japan. The ONE PIECE franchise's official YouTube channel is now streaming a short promotional video introducing "Carmine." ELLEGARDEN was formed by Takeshi Hosomi (vocal, guitar), Shinichi Ubukata (guitar), Yuichi Takada (bass), and Hiroki Takahashi (drums) in Chiba Prefecture in December 1998, releasing six maxi-singles and six original full albums to date. "Carmine" is their first-ever anime tie-in song in their career. According to their official website , the members have professed to be big fans of ONE PIECE .
