Yona of the Dawn Manga Ends After 16 Years in December

After an epic 16-year run, Mizuho Kusanagi’s Yona of the Dawn manga is coming to end. The Hana to Yume magazine revealed the news on its official accounts today, announcing that the final chapter will release in Japan on December 19. Yona of the Dawn has three more chapters to go, with the next chapter set to release on November 5 in issue 23, skipping issue 24 on November 20, the penultimate chapter publishing on December 5 in the first issue of magazine's 2026 run, with the final chapter coming out on December 19. Creator Kusanagi wrote on X (formerly Twitter) that "the reason I'm only announcing this with three chapters left is because I waited until the very last moment to decide when to wrap things up." She then thanked the editorial department for "accommodating [her] pace."
