'Tis Time for “Torture,” Princess Season 2 Anime Announces Opening, Ending Theme Song Artists

The official website for the TV anime 'Tis Time for “Torture,” Princess announced today the opening and theme song artists for the upcoming second season. The five-member South Korean girl group ILLIT will perform opening theme song, which does not have a title yet. ILLIT is a multinational group including two Japanese members, formed by YUNAH, MINJU, MOKA, WONHEE, and IROHA through the audition program “R U NEXT?” broadcast in Korea in 2023. This is the first time the group has provided a theme song for a Japanese TV anime series. Comment from ILLIT: We, ILLIT are truly honored to be performing the opening theme for a TV anime beloved by so many people in Japan! We're genuinely excited to see what kind of chemistry the opening movie and our song will create within the worldview of the show. We hope ILLIT's music reaches even more people alongside the anime! Please look forward to the second season of the TV anime `Tis Time for “Torture,” Princess" and our opening theme song! She is a 20-year-old singer-songwriter from Nara who made her major debut with Universal Music in 2024. In 2023, her song "Yusari no Canon" was used as the ending theme for the TV anime Blue Orchestra's first season. Comment from Yuika: I'm so thrilled to be involved as the artist handling the ending theme song for a work I've read since before I even started making music! Seeing the princess live each day brightly and cheerfully even while imprisoned, I decided to write a song filled with the sentiment: “Though I'm left utterly dumbfounded day after day, may the day come when I can love such days.” I hope you'd listen to this song often alongside the anime!
